I feel like there are two doors women get offered and both of them are incomplete.
Behind Door 1 your body is a machine with parts. Fix the part, do the exercise, manage the symptom.
Behind Door 2: your body is an illusion anyway — raise your vibration, transcend the flesh, be spiritual.
But what if it is actually so much more than either of those options?
Life and practice have shown me that women are multi dimensional.
We have rich spiritual , emotional, mental and physical aspects to our lives.
And the pelvic floor and core is not exception.
Your pelvic floor is the muscle group that births human beings AND excretes.
Creation and composting... in one elegant bit of engineering. It holds your organs in, holds your body up, holds your pleasure, holds your babies, and releases what no longer serves the body.
Try telling me that's not both woo AND hoo in the same structure.
And the diaphragm — the only muscle in your body that is simultaneously your breath and your core stability. One action, two jobs. The spiritual teachers got it right and the biomechanists got it right... they were looking at the same dome.
The physical path is a spiritual path, the spiritual is the physical.
Neither floats above the other. They're lovers, not rivals...
So where do you start? Not with belief. With sensation. Feeling, connection to your body is the intersection of both.
In science that’s called interoception.
Interoception is the capacity to perceive yourself from within.
When you can feel your core from the inside, you begin to open to the sensing of everything you are, the full multi dimensional woman. Your natural state. The core of your body is the core of who you are are the same thing…..it's a doorway...
